Meet Darrell

As a resident of the Tampa Bay area for over 15 years, I’ve seen our community grow and thrive. My passion is supporting the local businesses that make our city unique. I founded Sun State Benefits with a single mission: to provide high-quality, affordable benefits solutions that help business owners attract and retain the best talent without adding to their overhead.

Before becoming an independent agent representing AFLAC, I worked in construction and in Health Insurance. This experience showed me firsthand how confusing and expensive traditional benefits can be. I knew there had to be a better way for small and medium-sized businesses to compete.

When I’m not helping local businesses, you can find me spending time with family and friends or hanging out on the water around Tampa Bay. I believe in investing in the community I serve, both professionally and personally.
